TH350 Question
So I may get my transmission rebuilt from a shop and got a quote for $375 complete rebuild, cleaned and painted, and supposed to be done within a weekend. Does this sound right to you guys or am I getting screwed? What is your guys opinion? Transmission in question is a th350 4wd.

Re: TH350 Question
$375 is good price. Are you sure you'll be getting YOUR exact transmission back, or is it an exchange?
A few years back I was looking for a rebuild, the cheapest I found was $400, but I also had to supply the rebuild kit. I ended up going through an exchange house for $350 but I'll never go back to them.

Re: TH350 Question
I will get mine back, I will engrave my transmission case to make sure of that. I'm taking in one that i just pulled out of my truck today which at some point grenaded and the housing is toast, but using the internals for a base, and my 2wd th350 for the housing.

Re: TH350 Question
$350 seems suspiciously cheap to me.

Re: TH350 Question
Yeah it was already taken apart by a buddy of mine but none us have time to actually rebuild it.

Re: TH350 Question
That price sounds right for a "carry in". Most of the extra charge is pulling it and re-installing it.
