Newbie from Rochester,NY
Hello everybody, I'm a newbie from Rochester,NY . About a month ago I bought a 1969 C/10 250, 3spd on the column,no power brakes or steering, 2wd, 8' standard bed. Its mostly original, it still has the Childress, NC sticker on the tailgate. It has some old inspection receipts in the glove box, the original owner was a Mr. Hoots. From my research, the family is pretty big in NC. I've done the HEI upgrade, added an old Dixco tach, and rebuilt the carb. The truck tops out at about 55mph, so I think thats my next project, researching the best way to keep the rpm's down on the highway. I also have a 1950 Ford Fordor, thats my big project that I chopped, c-notched, added front discs, lowered front and rear, put 56 Rambler tail lights in, 56 Mercury bumper, SBC 350/T350, still have the original flatty but that'll go in another project someday. Glad to be here.

Re: Newbie from Rochester,NY
Nice find. A 3.07 rear end ratio should set you up at ~2500 rpm at 65mph. 3rd gear is going to be a 1:1 ratio.
