Any ideas?
I'm trying to restore my 1970 K5 blazer and would like to know if these seats that were included with the truck are factory seats. The color of the truck is supposed to be med. gold with gold vinyl bucket seats. Problem is I have never seen this pattern before...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think those seats are newer model. The pattern and the square top kinda says 73' up to me.

Thanks for the information....I knew the rear seat was from a 73 on up because of the color and shape of the armrests but wasn't too sure of the fronts. Anyone got any idea what gold vinyl buckets are supposed to look like?

Here's a tip for you. Unless you are wanting 100% OE off the assembly line resto, those buckets will be hard to distinguish for OE 69-72 ones. The primary differences are:
1. Material and patterns used in covering 2. The corners of the back cushion are less rounded 3. The 73-up brackets sit higher. As for #3, I'd guess the OE 69-72 brackets were kept (direct bolt-on to 73-up seats) as you'd have a hard time slipping your legs under the steering wheel otherwise. As for #2, a little trimming of the foam fixes that. As for #1, the replacement covers are available, unfortunately, gold ones are not. You may be able to dye, or find a shop that'll recover them with period-correct material. If it were me, I'd keep them and make the modifications suggested above.

pics of correct 69-72 bucket seats and vinyl patterns. The 69/70 used a single scroll (black/center), the 71/72 used a dual-scroll (white/right).

Thanks for all the advice...I will probably try to modify what I have like what was suggested. If not, that 60/40 bench swap is looking better all the time!
