Lets See your AD 4x4's

I know there is a 4x4 thread but it's mostly 67-72.

Not all of us want to "Drop em and Bag Em"

Would love to see your projects and Builds mild to wild

My Dream truck would be the one picured but with 4x4, a Duramax, and an AirStream Toy Hauler

Re: Lets See your AD 4x4's

mine is a 49 2.5 ton chevy that im making 4x4 with 79 Chevy 8 bolt axles. Ideally and if money wasnt an issue it would have a 4bt cummins with an allison tranny rolling with 33's or 35's. Since the admins have messed with the photo uploading systems i cant get any of my photos to upload otherwise i would show how far it is

Re: Lets See your AD 4x4's

yea. i found a turboed 12 valve 6bt reasonably priced that is in a late 80's dodge truck. but i figure i can wait til after i have the truck going so i can get to driving and maybe next summer throw in a diesel. I measured under the hood of my 2.5 ton and surprisingly i could fit the diesel under the hood without cutting much of anything. if i remember right i didn't even have to cut my inner fenders. I want to drive my truck NOW so i can wait for the diesel for a little bit

Re: Lets See your AD 4x4's

Trying to upload some newer pics of my 55 4x4 (at the paint shop, should be coming home this week!) but it's saying the file needs to be 640 x 0 or some such nonsense...

I'm running 35's (12.50/35/15) on it. This is on a (powdercoated) 77 4x4 frame. Stroked 350, T350 trans, NP-205 xfer case, Corporate 12 bolt rear w/ 4.11 and a locker, Dana 44 front w/ 4.10.
No build thread. This has been about 20 years in the process, and I didn't document it all very well.

Re: Lets See your AD 4x4's

I'm in the middle of a 58 GMC 4x4 project right now. Running gear and suspension are all done, just trying to get some time to finish up the body work. Will be updating my build thread soon.
