My 1985 chevy silverado Short bed "the story and the lie"

Well guys its been over a year since i have owned my 1985 Chevy Silverado Short box 4x4. So I figured I would tell every one the story on it. So a few year back in high school the ending of my junior year i had traded my 1990 Volkswagen Corrado For a 1994 Ford F150 Lifted 5 speed 302 Decent looking truck long bed etc etc. I was a die hard chevy guy Also at the same time I had a 1997 Ford ranger and i traded for these two mutt trucks 81 and 83 k10's and i hated them. so lets get back on track on big blue. Any ways I wanted a untouched short bed i didnt want somthing like these 2 pices of **** I got exuses of a k10s.

So I started looking and I found on Craiglist In Keene New Hampshire. I saw "1985 Chevy Truck Short bed 4x4" In the Add it said I had a built 355 or 383 storker I cant remember it siad it ran great and needed a starter. Had bowtie phase 6 heads in it. new intake and carb. So I called the owner at the time. And he always would call me at odd Hours and would sound drunk. I said in my head this is not who I wanted to talk to. so I had asked if this truck was mutt truck like if it had been piced together he said no but It was in a car accident and it was rearended and the bed and frame was repaced with a 86 frame and he couldnt remember what year the truck was 85 or 86. So i had went up with a good friend Luke and I told him i dont want a mutt **** box he like i agree with you. So we arive to the persons house and i had opend the door to see what the orginal color was and it was a dark blue i had my buddy decode the vin on his phone and it was a 1985 Chevy Silverado With a 305 that came from the factory.

i checked the core support it also said it was a 305 truck. So knew minuse the fenders this was all orginal. so next was the frame and bed the frame looked like a rustey frame that has never left the this body now the bed i pealed the rino linner and what do i see a nice dark blue the rear bumper had never been off in its life.i was like I want this this guys stupid so i had called him and he was on his way home frome work or somthing and we traded It was hard to see that ford go because It was a nice running truck. so the owner kept telling me that it had 410's all this **** that i didnt buy into. I had also noticed this truck has never ever had a set of rocker pannels in it life and same with floor pans. the truck had cab corrners they were glued on for the new crappy paint job. so here the fun part of the story i had confronted the owner on the frme being switch out hew was like i never said that i had said oh okay. I had also asked if it was raced in the mud there was a vermoster sticker on it he told me yes the Po raced it. so on the way home we stoped at burger king I looked under it had th400 in it the truck was a factory 700r4 truck. All the bolts for the cab and bed had never been off so the year went buy......

Ill continue the rest of the story on big blue later.
