Accelerator Cable Question
I have a '72 Jimmy 2wd with a 350 and am looking to by an accelerator cable. I tried calling the dealer looking for the part number 6264923, but even doing a country wide locate he was unable to locate one.
Who else would manufacture this cable? Would rather find a direct replacement rather than build one from a universal kit. Also tried GM Parts Direct with no luck. Thank you Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Accelerator Cable Question
I got mine at classicparts.com but I can't find them on the website. Where ever your get it make sure you get the right one, the 4x4 one is shorter.

Re: Accelerator Cable Question
Shorter in what way for the 4x4? Shorter from "throttle cable bracket to carb linkage" or shorter from "throttle cable bracket to truck firewall"? I just got a new Holley BTW.
Cause if its shorter from "throttle cable bracket to firewall" than that maybe just what I need for the new Holley bracket. See pic. The bracket sits back a lot further towards the firewall causing my cable to be in awful dip. Does not seem like that bad of a dip is good on the cable. BTW I have a 72 GMC 2500 2wd |
