Drop spindle question
Hello everyone,
I picked up a set of belltech's 3120 drop spindles real cheap last week. I have a 72 GMC 1/2 ton (2wd) and it would seem these are ment to fit that year chev/gm. My issue is when I went to install them my outer pitman (edit tie rod ends) arms were too small. I did a bit of digging and figured out I needed C20 pitman arms (tie rods). Does anyone know why this is? Is this typical? I just want to make sure this isnt going to cause me issues down the road. Thank you -Matt Last edited by Hybridcx; 07-31-2013 at 09:22 AM. |

Do you mean tie rod ends?

Re: Drop spindle question
I wonder if you have a 73-87 spindle?
Got any pics of the spindle?

Re: Drop spindle question
That was my first thought but it is stamped 31200 on the back and after investigating a bit the 73-87 spindle takes a different tie rod end & upper ball joint. My upper Ball joint seems to fit fine. So do my rotors and calipers and what not, its quite strange.
