Re: New member
Thanks, its pretty solid very minor rust spots. Found it sitting behind a barn, the elderly man said he was the second owner of the truck only 78k miles on it, the man gave it away to me for $1000. After I got it home I pulled the carb off and rebuilt it so I could move it around, couldn't believe how good it runs.

Re: New member
Heck yeah for a grand!
What's under the hood? Does it run? Pass through Hayden a couple times a year heading up to Scottsboro to see my dad, he's now passed but I still run through there a couple times a year to visit relatives and tend to property and such. |

Re: New member
A grand? Are you kidding me? That truck would sell for upwards of $4000 in my area if it ran. I am happy for you and keep posting pics so we can enjoy the truck with you as you work out the kinks.

Re: New member
if the 6 cyl runs really good, I would leave it, do the brakes and drive it! I would love to have the 6 cyl in mine. V8's are getting to be too common.
These old trucks are a lot more fun running and driving than sitting torn apart in the garage... FWIW

Re: New member
You'll have fun with this project. I'm biased for keeping and modifying the original 6. So easy to work on.

Re: New member
Well I'm back to work on my truck after a long wait thanks to a water leak in my kitchen that ruined my sub floor , so i thought I'd update for anyone interested. I got the hood both inner and outer fenders, bumper, grill, grill support, engine and transmission removed. I will post pictures in a day or two. Everything came apart really well except for on bolt in the fender at the bottom toward the door, it broke clean off as soon as i tried to turn it. Feels good to be working on it again.
