Should I bag it or just lower it??
I have been contemplating putting air bags or just lowering kit. In a way I want to be able to raise it back up so bags would be the choice. But I don't really want to cut into the box and if I put bags I want to do it all the way. So am really on the fence as what to do.... Unless there is a less intrusive way to install bags that I'm not aware of.

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
If you never have had a lowered truck before I would do a 4/6 drop since the buy in is alot lower.
Bags cost a lot of money, and they really are not bolt in. Unless you wanna pay alot more. |

Static drop. It's bolt on and dead reliable. Cheaper too.

Both of my trucks are bagged. I agree with the above comments though, especially for a daily driver.

Id bag it, I cant think of many people who wished they'd have just lowered it instead of bagging their truck.

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
Bags are for groceries haha. Why do want to bag it? Why do you want to static drop it? Weigh your pros and cons and driving style and use.

My truck was bagged at one point... I'm back to static with no plans of ever bagging it again.

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
If you want the lowered look then do static. If you want the adjustability then bag. No one ever said you have to cut into the bed if you bag it.

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
I had a bolt/tab fail and it spun me around, sent me into the other lane after I just bought my TT2's. It did a lot of damage to the truck itself. My daughter is 3 years old and I don't ever want to go through that again, let alone with her in the truck. There is the maintenance aspect of it too, you have to check to make sure you have no leaks, nothing is rubbing, things are tight still, not out of adjustment and so on. No thanks, Ill drop it to the level I like it at, it looks good, sits level, holds an alighnment\ tracks straight down the road and most importantly, it was designed to last many, many years maintenance free.... cant go wrong with static. Bags are a virus, like power... you want more and more. Ive just been there, done that.

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
Some people do some sketchy work on bagged trucks. Some do awesome work.
Execution is they key to a good build. I like my static drop its like a freight train on top of a Ferrari haha. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
Thanks to all for the replies and suggestions. Not ever owning a bagged vehicle I was unaware of the option, I have done some further research as well as read all the comments and feel comfortable doing a Cnotch bagged setup. I haven't decided as to what manufacture I will go with, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for all the comments. |

Static...cheaper, easier, more reliable...and will allow for funds for other areas.

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
Just stay away from "airbagit.com" and any of the other 10-15 names they go by. The airbagit stuff is junk. Ride Tech is top shelf quality but you'll only buy it once. Shop around, gather info here and find some folks locally with bags and sponge up all the information you can. Good Luck!

Re: Should I bag it or just lower it??
I have used both Bell Tech and Western Chassis...both are high quality Mfrs and have never let me down. I have only heard good things about them.
