3.73 and posi
I have a 12 bolt posi that I will not be using. I was told it was rebuilt with stronger springs when I bought it. It has 3.73 gears with it (cant remeber which series that makes it). Looking to get what I paid for it $375 with gears $350 with out.

Are you sure it's for a truck and not a car 12 bolt?

I do not have any documentation of the rebuild, only the mans word that it had been done. I am almost certain it is for a truck but if you can tell me the difference Ill double check.

Does the posi carrier have the window like you took the photo of the springs through on one side or both? What is the diameter of the pinion shaft? What is rhe nber stamped on the carrier housing? How many splines are on the axle housing? These details will tell if its for a car or truck.

There are 2 windows and the casting number is ed30060 which is for a series 4 truck carrier.

Yes any will fit. They are just for different ratio ranges.

Looks like 41 teeth on the ring and 10 teeth on the pinion. Wouldn't that make it a 4:10 ratio?

There are 11 teeth on the pinion making it 3.727....
