aftermarket outside door handles
has anyone replaced there outside door handles? I purchased a set from Classic Parts and installed them this weekend. This is what I found. The push button is to long on the back side. What happens is it pulls the rod to high and when you lock the door and shut it, it makes the lock bind when trying to unlock it. after changing the latch 3 times I fugured out why it was not unlocking. If anyone is changing out their handles you will have to remove the roll pin and file the back of the button off to make it lower.

Re: aftermarket outside door handles
We had hell doing mine...I got mine from Classic as well. I had 4 guys trying to pry and pull trying to figure it out. They ended up swapping out the black push button on the handle in order to get it to work.
