There has been a suggestion of a meeting at the truck show at the Issaquah triple X drive in on July 27th. Contact Orence1.

oldiron - I was going to ask if anyone has ever been to the triple X shows. There are several of them throughout the summer. I gotta get this truck running!

I contacted Dennis (Old Iron) about the XXX show as he is our "social director". Some of the guys had expressed frustration that there would be none of our trucks at Goodguys due to the age restrictions (62 & older). No guarantee about how many of our trucks would be at the XXX but there will be more than at Goodguys. My thought was to do the show in the A.M. and get together for a picnic at Lake Sammamish State Park afterwards. If you have not been to the XXX, they use the surrounding business parking lots for the shows. Very low key and lots of fun. No admission and some of you guys with drivers could put yours on display. I don't know if there is a display fee as I can't seem to get my truck to the point of driving over there! It sounds like Dennis is delegating this one to me. I still plan on doing Goodguys on Friday afternoon so if you all are more interested in getting together there, count me in. PM me with your preference.

What time do the XXX shows start. For some reason, I was under the impression that they were night time deals, like a friday night at an old drive-in (I've seen Happy Days). If I can get the truck running correctly in time- I'm up for either or both.

Just so that I'm clear:
July 18,19, 20 @ Puyallup Good Guys, correct? ...and the get togethers at the XXX drive-in (a big sign on top in the shape of a barrel with XXX on it in case any of you wise-a$$es think about making jokes about it being a porno theater) @ Issaquah are on every Saturday night, correct? Or was it Friday? Can't remember. What's this about the 27th? I think bouncytruck's right about the night-time thing. Anyway I'm game for anything...

As a point of clarification, XXX hosts a Saturday night "Cruise-In" all summer long. They also have a published show schedule and those are almost always on Sundays. The truck show is a part of their Sunday show schedule. Things usually get going there at about 9:00AM and shut down around 3:00PM when car/truck owners get on the road for home.

NW chances to gather ther 'posse'
Issaquah sounds good! Is the XXX deal easy to find, is Issaquah easy to get lost in like other puget sound sprawl? The picnic idea at Lake Sammamish also sounds excellent, look forward to seeing some of you' all and your pride & joy...........

You can see the XXX sign from I-90. Take the Front St. Exit (last Issaquah exit) take a right off the exit and a left on Front St. It is about a block down the road. If you pass the sign on I-90, you've gone too far and you'll need to turn around. Lake Sammamish is easy to get to from there.

Its been a while since I have visited the board so I am trying to figure out what is happening. Who is going to Good Guys this weekend on Saturday? Anyone? I would be glad to meet anyone who is going in the A.M. Is the triple XXX meet on the 27th a truck show? I was planning to go to Snohomish that day (Les Schwab) but I will go to the Schwab show in August in Enumclaw if some other board members are going to the XXX that day. How about a roll call? Thanks,
Doug |

XXX is easy to find it's off the second exit (front Street) heading towards spokane from seattle...go south on front street until you hit Gilman Blvd (which is the first light after turning onto front street)...hang a left on Gilman and XXX will be on your left just past the UHAUL place.
Saturdays they routinely have cruise in's and I am there if it's nice...been there twice with my truck but noone else came driving a truck. I will be there on the 27th.
