Gasket removal?
This'll sound (well, "read") elementary but where I removed my carb for rebuilding, what is the best way to remove the left over gasket on the intake manifold?

A gasket scraper, Auto parts store should have one.

If don't want to buy a gasket scraper or make a trip to the parts house just for that I always keep a "flexible" and not a "stiff" putty knife in the tool box for that. Also I always stuff a rag down the throat of the intake to keep the "junk" from falling in as it comes off.

I use a scraper or a razor blade scraper. Hit it with some brake cleaner and let it sit a couple of minutes and it will come off easier. Definitely use rags or paper towels to block off the intake.
