Good start to a project...
The UPS and FedEx guys have been visiting my house daily for the last couple of days, this should keep me busy for a while. The only things I'm waiting on are the rear springs that are getting drop shipped and the wheels that are in route.
The original CalCustom fan is from my stash I bought a few years back, I knew I'd find the right truck for it sooner or later. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Good start to a project...
Looks good..what wheels are those tires going to be mounted on?..or haven't you decided yet? The 250 will look great with the ol' school dual carb setup.
Looking forward to seeing your progress on this project.

Here is the truck, the drop starts tomorrow, the engine will get pulled this winter and get detailed and the new parts put on, along with an engine bay detail. The bed will get the side markers shaved, a touch of body work, then a way better faux patina paint job that actually matches the rest of the truck. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Good start to a project...
Thanks! I'm pretty excited about this project. I'm putting all the trim back on too. I feel like my truck is the ugly abused brother of your's!

Re: Good start to a project...
One teaser pic for now. The front is done, the rear springs haven't shown up yet so we put the blocks in and a few other parts and heated the springs a little until the new ones show up. Still need to do the notch also, we ran out of time.

What's the story on the truck in the background?

Re: Good start to a project...
It's a 5 1/2" front, 7 1/2" rear. I'm hoping the front settles more, I may have to trim the coils when the back is done. We'll see.
That's Brett's (dirtball) truck, it's way nice. I know he's posted a few pics of it on here somewhere. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Good start to a project...
Small update, I've got the rear suspension all done, including notch, all I'm waiting for now is to call CPP in the morning regarding my tie rod conversion sleeves. The set they sent out had one that wasn't drilled and tapped straight and the threads weren't deep enough. Frustrating! I want to get this thing to the alignment shop soon! I also did new front brakes with a wheel bearing repack, and shoes and wheel cyl's in the rear too. Still waiting on Wheel Vintiques also...
