Static Drop Spring Question

I want to do a down-and-dirty (read: CHEAP) drop just to make blu look a bit cooler. Long term plans are spindles or bags but with it needing so much other stuff right now and my budget already destroyed, I just need to get it lower.

Can I simply install the mcgaughy's 2" drop front and 4 or 5" drop rear springs? (I don't want to cut springs, as inexpensive as these ones seem to be) Will I be able to get any kind of alignment without dropped spindles or have any clearance issues in the back? I expect I'll need to get a shock relocator kit for the rear (it needs new shocks as well so I'll just get a set of AC Delcos for now). Its not a daily driver so I can live with losing some ride quality.

Seems to be the least expensive way for me to at least get out of the nosebleed seats for now.

Any issues?

2" front and 5" rear is a good plan if you plan on using drop spindles later.
But the front will be higher now.
You will also need an adjustable rear track bar for the rear.
I suggest www.earlyclassic.com for parts.

Do you mean the front will be higher than the rear with the 2" front 4/5" rear until I get drop spindles? That might encourage me to expedite the spindles then.

I assume you mean the adjustable panhard bar?

From my study's of the subject, I am going to do a 2/4 drop on mine...all of the pictures I've seen of 2/4 drops the truck sits level...with a 2/5, the rear is gonna be lower than the front.

I guess that is what I'll do for now too. Then add spindles in the front and blocks in the back later to get a bit lower....

Cut 1 coil in the front springs
Install a drop block (2") in the rear from forum vendor ($60)

Yes, 2" block in the rear and roughly 2" in the front. Wished I had a better pic I shot that after the truck was sitting for 8 months while I was..gone...

I have nicer pix on flat concrete but its 'stock' height in those.

2" spring and 2" spindle and in my opinion sits way too high. I think I got something weird just hope it's not the spindle
