What is this external metal tube on a TH350?
What is the little metal tube coming out the side top of a TH350?
This trans is going behind an inline 6 into my truck. thanks Mark |

i put a rubber hose on it so if it does vent its below the tranny and doesnt leak all over my stuff.

Dirt daubers can plug that hole and cause even a newly-rebuilt tranny to blow out the seals--know a guy who had it happen twice on his 'collector cars'. Only after the 2nd one did they figure what was causing it.
