Actually, it's a G body header, not an F-body header. I'll let someone else chime in here, who actually has that Header. (Ryan, or someone else...)

The shorty header you are looking for is for a SB Chevelle. 64-87 shorty if I remember correctly.

A 3/4 length header for chevelles fits between & doesn't hang below truck framerails. Big blocks are the same as well (I'm using Sanderson BB3's, which are 3/4 length for Chevelles).

These will be better than manifolds, but will fall short of full equal length headers for the guy searching for max performance.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Get some pics of those full length headmans in relation to the bottom of the frame rail.

With a 4/6 drop 4" in the front i got 4" of ground clearance with full length headers. The top of the collector sits right with the bottom of the framerail. I also have collector flange stiffners for added support(( for grounding out and sealing). I recomend flange stiffners and alumunuim gaskets . I also like a crossover h -pipe with flanges for easy tranny and exhaust removel ( balances flow and improves lowend torque). hedmen headers are usually the cheapest on the market. I never had a problem with them. jay

I'll try & bring the digi cam home tomorrow. There's no freakin' way full length's would fit under my crap. The bottom of the header better be even w/the bottom of my framerail or it will be a quick, certain death.

What do you guys . . .... oh never mind, I'll start a new thread.

Pretty. Mine are just bare since they don't recommend them to be coated during initial engine start-up. I'll get them coated eventually.

I have a spare set of "break-in" headers for that.
