Will 15x10 rally wheels fit rear of 1950 3100 pickup?
Howdy all!
New here so my posting etiquette may not be up to the board's par, please excuse me for that. I am building a 1950 3100 pickup and was thinking of running 15x10 rallys (style of the 73-87 trucks) in the rear. Has anyone done this? If so, how do they fit and what size tire would they require? Thanks! RFC Posted via Mobile Device |

I think 10 inch wheels are going to be slightly too wide to fit without installing mini tubs. Depends on the tire too I guess.

I'm not sure the width I think they are 8 inch though. I never checked. I just threw some rubber on them and tossed them on to roll around with. Those tires were way too small for the rim though. I was surprised I got them to seal to the bead. I have since put 235/75-15s on those rims and am running them on the front.

I have been. My build thread (link in my signature) has lots of pictures but I haven't made much progress yet.

Brikar told it right. With 10 inch rims it's either tub the truck or have the tires stick out past the fender early 70's style. I don't know what we were thinking when we did that back then.
That is one great looking truck Brikar.

I am using 15x8 steel wheels with equal off sets and 255x60x15 tires on my 1948 5window. Fits but close, about 1/2inch from bed side and just inside fender lip

Re: Will 15x10 rally wheels fit rear of 1950 3100 pickup?
I've got 15x8's with 255-60's on the back of my 48 with about 1/2 inch room on the inside and maybe 3/4 inch on the outside running a mid 70's Nova rear end.
That's the only photo I have on Photobucket of it from the back with those tires on it.

I just bought a complete chassis off a 48 to switch with my 50, so I don't think I'll be switching rear ends any time soon. I've heard S10 frames work well too but I wanna stick to as close to stock as possible. RFC Posted via Mobile Device |

Using the stock frame and making suspension changes on it makes it a lot easier to get all of the sheet metal lined up right. I've got an MII style front suspension to put under mine but am now thinking more and more about going Jag XJ6 or XJ S on it.

I have 275x60x15 on 10" on a 50 on a S-10. I could run 295's, it would be hard to get them off and on between the drums and fender.
