Truck won't stay in PARK.
Bought this lifted '69 Chevy C10 gone K10 Stepside as a running project to work on in my spare time. Well as it turns out, whoever decided to lift this poor truck didn't take into consideration how many parts it could potentially screw up, and now the truck recently doesn't want to stay in PARK and always hops into REVERSE upon starting. I was told the 3 or 4" body lift kit was more than likely the main problem. I found a $40 adjustable linkage kit (7-24") from Brothers classic truck parts, and wanted some feedback from you guys if maybe that's the correct step to take towards fixing the issue. Any takers? Thanks!

couple of dumb questions.
is it pulling the lever down inside the cab? are all the motor and tranny mounts good?

Re: Truck won't stay in PARK.
The mounts check out good man, and yeah.. the gear selector literally won't shift into PARK.. and if it graces me with such an action, it hops straight back into REVERSE. Didn't start doing it until a month or so after I bought it.

Re: Truck won't stay in PARK.
is there any adjustment left in the linkage or are you maxed out with the lift?
just trying to picture it better.

Re: Truck won't stay in PARK.
As far as I can tell (without ripping the poor, old girl apart ) she's all maxed out on length.. what does a standard linkage arm measure?
