WTB: 73-90 Suburban in DFW area

I'm looking for a mechanically sound Suburban. I would prefer a pre '80 model because of emissions but will also consider a later model one. I am limited on funds so am looking to spend under $2800.

Thanks guys (and gal)!

If you can find another $1000 I have an 88 GMC sub I'll sell you. New front suspension, 700R4, both driveshafts, u-joints, carrier, 2 new BFG tires on front, alignment, water pump, alt, starter, oil pressure sender, winshhield about 5 months ago.

Well, sounds like a good deal, except I don't have the $$$ I have a '75 SWB that I could offer you for a partial trade.

What are you asking for the truck? Is it the one on your site? Looking for cash really(for a down payment for the wife a new car) but I'm always interested in a deal.

Scott, too bad you are looking for one in Texas...there is a 79 Burb here in MN (with TX plates on it) for sale at a local car lot. It is a 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton, 454, 400, 12 bolt, rust free with a few dents here and there...they want $2500 for it but I bet they would take $2000 since it need some brake work. Real clean burb...I wouldn't mind having it myself!

....Jeff

Yes, it's the one on my site. I'd like to get 1500 for it. It's got it's rough spots. Its rusted through above both fender wells, one cab corner and the bed is pretty bad. It's a 350/350 (tranny recently rebuilt) with a Carter 625cfm carb. I put on Dynomax ceramic coated headers with Dynomax super turbos and is dumped in front of the axle. I have a '78 cab that I was going to put on the truck, core support, and two inner fender wells that would go with the truck if someone wanted them.

I was offered 1200 for it today and am thinking of taking it. I'm looking at buying a '90 suburban and will trade my truck and some cash for it.

Scott have you checked out www.traderonline.com yet? There are several that appear to be pretty good buys in the DFW area.

Thanks Brad. I actually did. And in fact, I bought a '86 last night that was listed in there.
