Bed panel assembly

on a shortbed 82 fleetside are the quarter panels and bed assembly all held together by bolts? is the only piece thats welded the four tack welds by the floor where the tailgate closes? Im trying to break my bed apart so i can send it out for media blasting.

Re: Bed panel assembly

Correct the bed is completely done by bolts aside from the tack welds as mentioned.

If you haven't looked yet, you will have your 4 bolts that hold the bed floor to the frame, and some bolts where your gas tank(s) are along the bed side, fendwell, it's tedious also make sure to have you some wd-40 that will be a must. Might have to let a few of the bolts set for a little before you can get them off.
