Need help finding an original radio

Hey guys, I just bought an awesome '67 c10 and all I want to do with it at the moment is put a factory radio or something that looks close enough back in it. my factory build sheet says "push button radio." any advice?

If you become a registered member for $25.00 you have access to the parts board and can buy from there. Member tll74 has what you need. He is in Springfield, OR and deals with these trucks on a daily basis.

Oh and in case I forget, we want photos of your new toy. It is a board rule

i do not believe you need to be a registered member to buy from vendors on the parts board/// original am radios are quite cheep and work just like old am radios// original amfm radios are rare and somewhat pricey// a better choice is like the modern but lookin retro choices like companies offer

ha! yes I know all about that rule but I am at a USO in Kyrgyzstan at the moment and cant upload any. My buddy "cherokeeC10" posted a few about a week ago in a post titled. my C10 gets a new garage friend.

I was thinking about a retro looking replacement because I really do want FM but MP3 and cd/tape deck are not really important to me. I absolutely hate the digital readout ones I've seen. the analog dial with the ugly yellow backlight is so much cooler.

I have a radio that probably does NOT work ,have not checked it ,dont remember if it is pushbutton or not but can look when I get home today .

^ All stock AM or AM/FM radios had push button station selection.

Check ebay for these radios also. I've seen some in there in the past.

And for those that are new to the AM radios of the era, after locating the station you pull the button to extend it and then push it back in to set it.

The original radio's were tube type, not solid state. Even if you find one it's a crapshoot on it's life because those tubes are no longer made, they had a relatively short life and without them that fancy piece of original equipment doesn't even make a good ashtray.

There are several companies making solid state reproductions of the original radio's and that is a much better buy.

Check eBay. That's where I got mine. It was a lot of work to get everything working, between needing a radio, wiring, antenna, and speaker. Got it all hooked up, and I'm glad I did because I like the factory look, and having everything work, but guess what? There's nothing to listen to on AM, and it sounds lousy

I had to do the same thing as Mister B noted. Purchase radio, antena, wiring, etc. I pick up alot of talk radio, sports radio, mexican radio, and radio Disney. So I get to listen to the like of Taylor swift on radio Disney. You would think me being in Texas I could get a decent country station on AM.
