the fill neck on a suburban tank is different than a blazers due to the location of a body mount in front of the fill tube

Suburban Gas Tank
Oldchev4x4, I just installed a new steel tank from 'The Truck Shop' that I picked up at the Carlisle show. It was advertised as a "direct replacement" for Blazers and Subs 67- 72. I installed it in my 72 longbed pickup and had to locate it about 2 inches farther to the rear along the frame rails to clear the bed mount that was in the way of the filler neck. It seems to be working out well, although I haven't filled it to the top yet. (Put 15 gallons in it and my gauge registered 5/8 of a tank!!) So, be aware that you might have to move the tank front or back depending on the vehicle you are working with.

blazer ones work in the trucks I have sold and installed lots of them, you do have to trim back one of the bed stringers that go side to side on the bottom side of the bed to make it fit flush, and then figure out how you want to fill it. but they will not fit in a suburban (I sell the same one the truck shop has for 255 + shipping, it comes with the tank, sending unit and straps and it is metal)
