Build Sheets

Pulled the seat out of my 70 C10 and found my build sheet! First time I've ever found one. They were talked about a lot with the cars I used to work on, wondering how common they are on our trucks?

Re: Build Sheets

Nice find.

I've never found one on any of my collector cars (except my GTO). Based on my observations here in the truck world they seem to be much more common.

Typically found in the seat cushions. Seats were built up in a separate area of the plant (due to fire concerns) and conveyed to the main line for installation. The fact that they were built up remotely is why the build sheet was needed; it was easier to leave the sheet laying in place and build the seat up around it than it was to throw them away when done.
