Pics from Swap Meet/Show at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds in Stockton, CA-a small event but, had a good turn out of parts sellers & show entrees. Also, model/bicycle shows. Plus, hi-tech go cart racing on track.

The owner of that orange 62/63 lives behind me. I actually found out about this show when I went for a jog and passed by him pulling it out of the garage. Really nice truck.

Cool pic's Cool 68'!!! By any chance did you get a pic of that nice factory paint 66' step-side behind the food area? It was a super clean stocker.

I didn't know about a lot of things this weekend.

Original Plan:

wake up early Sat and fix tail light ground

Take pics of tail light pocket for another member here

head downtown to the Alameda car show

head to sacramento for last grudgefest

wake up early Sun and wire up new tail light on Harley

Actual events:

woke up late on Sat went to Alameda car show

went home fell asleep

woke up late Sun

laid on the couch all day watching old movies

As you can see, things didn't go as planned.

Is this a new thing? I didn't hear about it. Looks like that would have been a much better deal to go to than the Alameda show, there are plenty of nice cars, but only saw 3 trucks(actually 2 trucks and a blazer). When I go to shows I look for vehicles that can inspire me. Here are a couple cool pics from the Alameda show on Sat

The Stockton swap/car show has been around for at least 10-12 years?

and they put on about 5 swaps a year (not the biggest) but what is nice is that they are very reasonable...... free parking, only 5 bucks to get in, $15 to enter you vehicle in the show (and the show has awards), there is also a model car show, vender spots are decently priced and a decent size, a personable DJ that plays 50-60/car music, food and drinks are also priced reasonable, with a lot of shady tree spots that gives it the park like atmosphere.

Ahh....I see, they waited until I moved out of Stockton to start it. For my current build I'm doing everything new, but I like to stroll through and see if I can find any deals on random stuff I didn't think of. I guess I've been out of it lately, I missed the last turlock show too.

Never fear! In 3 months, the last weekend in January is the biggest and best Turlock Swapmeet so mark your calender.

Tim, if you're referring to the 65' he was asking 17K, I don't know what was under the hood but it had a 5 speed transmission and was a factory air cab.
