Towing trucks that lay frame

Has anyone that has a truck that lays frame ever been towed for parking illegally while aired out? It seems like a great way to keep this from happening or from keeping your truck from getting stolen.

Towtruck will just jack you up, hitch up, and yank you to the hoose-gow. Thieves I don't know about, but if they want it they'll get it. Think how you would do it if you wanted it real bad and had a safe place to store it.

Re: Towing trucks that lay frame

Soft tail and bagger bikes with air suspension at Sturgis were getting yanked by thieves using an enclosed trailer , no floor and an overhead gantry crane. They would swing the double doors open along the trailer sides, back over the bike, lift it and shut the doors after they pulled out. Sneaked a few out before they were caught. As fetchmeapepsi mentioned, a tow driver will yank it away far enough to get it loaded how ever he see fits.

Re: Towing trucks that lay frame

My 97 crew cab dually would lay frame when aired out. I once bet a tow truck driver $200 that he couldn't lift it!! The front air dam say right on the pavement. I have him about 15 minutes to try then jumped in, aired up and drove off!! He had a winch and wheel lift and said that if he can't hook to to frame then he can't lift it!!

Same thing my 98 fullsize couldn't tow either without doing major damage. Was riding real low one day had a tow driver pull beside and say almost to low to tow. Then I hit zero psi and he finished off with yep park where ya want lol
