Need some help regarding these mythical 72-only big block mounts

Im in the process of swapping an LS1 into my 1972 C20...which originally had the 402 and as Im just learning, some magical, 1 year only, motor mounts....which of course dont match up to any LS swap hardware.

For anyone with experience with these mounts, can I just swap out the 72 perches for 67-71 small block perches so that my LS motor mounts will bolt right up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dont let those 72 BB clamshell mounts go with that BB sale. You could get 200 for those alone.

Those motor mounts are worth good money. You could probably sell them on here and buy some LS conversion motor mounts with the proceeds.

yea, it looks like the CPP LS mounts completely eliminate the perch and clam shell, so I may go that route and sell the 72 mounts

Yes, 67-72 small block frame mounts will bolt right in to the existing holes. They will use three of the four current holes on each side.
