brazilian truck-cool!

this is actually a 71, but many 60-66 parts are incorporated in it.
Brazil carried over older parts on their "new" trucks.. the actual 60-66 brazil trucks look more like 47-59's...
take a minute and check out the video, it is well done, and shows lots of details.
I want this tailgate!

I almost have no idea what I'm looking at.

Kinda reminds me of the Grand Theft Auto versions of cars....just a little "off" from what we're used to seeing...but totally recognizable.

I agree as well, one comment I read said it looks like a ford and chevy mated and this was the child!

I like that tailgate as well.
Custom or stock design? What do you think?

I think it is probably a stock brazil tailgate, here is what one from argentina 60-72 looks like
(just showing it because it is different and cool as well)

Re: brazilian truck-cool!

looks like they used that body style for about 20 years 64-84, with a few refinements.. interesting that they used the 60-65 (and 59-60 biscayne) deluxe steering wheel all the way up into the 70's
that engine suspiciously looks like a chevy 235 too (in the green truck).* also notice the fenderwell in the engine shot

That video is pretty cool. I wonder if there is a build thread on some forum somewhere. How safe is that left upper control arm?

I NEED that extended cab! I've wanted an ex-cab from the 60/70s (all pretty much coach built) but this would really be something else.

Re: brazilian truck-cool!

you can legally import these trucks, anything 25 years old or older can be brought straight in, no need for a registered importer. find a good one and put it in a crate! no hassles.

well, you cant drive it back. haha.

I would find a way to search the classifieds down there then use an exporter as a broker. usually they charge a percentage.

fill the bed up with tailgates, and give me one!

yeah I am curious if they are full size, or a mid size... the windshield really looks like a 64-66, it could be an illusion(looking like a mini truck) because of the angles of the styling...

Re: brazilian truck-cool!

These trucks are a bit strange looking to me. With the big back window, the cabs look like Ford cabs to be. But that pic of the 4x4 with the small back window, the cab looks like a '60's Dodge cab from behind.

I do really like the tailgates too.

Are you a mailman? What the heck do you want to drive on the right side for

As for the extended cab....for 7k, if it was here I might actually go for it....I've never been much on taxes, let alone import taxes.
