what does R/V 10 series mean

hey guys looking and buying a 87 c10 but when the vin number comes up it says its a R/V 10 series silverado just never heard of a R/V 10 not sure if it means anything or not lol thanks fro the help

They changed it from C/K to R/V for 87. From what I understand it was to stop people from confusing them with the newer body style in 88. Which were also C/K.

So an 87 R10 would be a 1/2 ton two wheel drive. V10 1/2 ton 4x4.

To add to that, I think the other major change with the R/V 10 designation is the introduction of fuel injection instead of carburation for the 73-86 models.
