Power mirrors

I was hoping someone could share some close up pictures of the power side mirrors that were offered late in the product line. Hope to get some close up views as well as pics from the inside looking out. In photos I've seen so far I can not get a good feel for how they look or all the relationships at contact points. Thanks if you can help.

I have a pair of doors I just stripped down that had power mirrors. One of them I have not air hammered open yet to get the backing plate out. You just wanting photos of where they mount or what?

You can also use the conversion van power mirrors too. Gmachinz has a build thread with them installed on his truck. I have a set on my 84 just not hooked up yet.

Thanks for the pics. Kind of weird how the overlap up into the window. There is build on here of a cc that had his vent window sheet metaled in and then installed newer tow style mirrors. Out of the 2 I think that looked better. Does anyone have pics of the slide on style like they sell in LMC installed?

that's what I have on mine, I don't care for the factory power mirror's unless ya mount em in front of the vent window.

If the doors are solid there is no reason to air hammer them open, I pulled the backing plates out of a set of these doors by using a heat gun and a putty knife. Heat door skin up, work putty knife around from inside. Glass was out too...

The doors are junk. You know how much easier it is to remove the regulator with motors attached through a big hole you make? Then it is a 5 second job with the torch to heat up the plates after you drilled the rivets. Trust me, 30 seconds of air hammer makes it easier.

Thanks for that last picture, the one from inside. That answered what I could not make cents of. They don't make cents. They just come up on the window for no apparent reason.

Even the switch and it's location is ugly and doesn't match the window/lock switches. One option I'm glad my truck doesn't have.

if you use dodge ram van mirrors there power and look like the non power chrome mirrors

around 94 or so you would have to mod the base im sure to fit to the square door or use the base off the squares oem mirror. be a little fab not alot. if you wanted big tow mirrors like on new trucks you should look at motorhome mirrors though.



either looks tons better than the oem ones or welding up the vent window.
