Rear Bumper on 2wd 72 GMC Shortbed with leaf springs

Does anybody have some photos/diagrams of how to mount the rear bumper? Do I need some sort of frame extension? Thanks for your time.

You need bumper brackets, and all sorts of additional parts. I recently installed a new chrome rear bumper. If you search my old posts, I did a thread with instructions.

I'd contact GMC Paul to get the right parts

Here is Mister-B's post. I had it saved because I need to do the same thing.

Thanks for the info. The diagram in Mister-B's post was the key. Except for some minor hole alignment, the brackets are well on their way to being installed.
