5.3 motor mount questions
I'm wanting the motor to be in basically the same place the 350 is now that's in there. I'm going to run my 4l60 that came stock to the blazer and I want as little modification from the tranny back as possible. Do you guys know where I could get adapters to be able to still use my clam shell motor mounts

Re: 5.3 motor mount questions
You might look into Dirty Dingo plates. I too am researching for all the parts needed for my possible conversion.

Re: 5.3 motor mount questions
You can do the plates but make sure you get the adjustable ones so you can fit the motor and keep the trans in place.

Re: 5.3 motor mount questions
Yep. Dirty dingo. for adjustability. For $50 less you can get the car shop inc units that will put them in stock location, but then you loose adjustability.

Re: 5.3 motor mount questions
We went with the dirty dingo mounts. Looked at lots of brands before deciding, but liked the adjustability of the dingo mounts. Not exactly sure where the engine will end up, so having some adjustability is nice.

Re: 5.3 motor mount questions
Did for me! These are the ones i used on my 90 suburban. I bolted these on, bolted my original motor mounts to them, and dropped the motor in. I never unbolted the trans except for the bell housing. In other words, the trans never moved from its mount.

Re: 5.3 motor mount questions
Also it says that's sets the motor back an inch? Is that what it needs to be in the stock position.
