Re: To the veterans
We had a Veteran's Day program at the school I teach at yesterday. It was great to see middle school students perform to honor the veterans. We then have a meal for the veterans and ask any that wish to, to go into classrooms and talk to our students. I had two gentlemen that are retired from the Air Force. While they spoke my 8th graders sat in their desks with their eyes focused on every word these gentlemen said. After they finished, I watched as each of my students walked up to these two veterans and either shook their hand or hugged them, looked them in the eye and said "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE." It brought tears to my eyes. I will say it all the veterans on here. Thank You for your service!

Thank you. People weren't in the same frame of mind when I was in as they are now. It's nice to hear a few kind words.

Thanks. Having just retired, it feels really weird, but I'm enjoying not having to leave my family anymore.
Maybe next year I'll even get to work on my Blazer. |

Re: To the veterans
Ditto's on thanks to all that have served before and after me.
I also extend a special thanks to my brothers that served during the Vietnam era. My service was in the USAF 63-67 and missed the heavy combat. My prayers and condolences to parents and families who lost loved ones in all wars. The final inspection.
