Tired of my long tube headers!!!!!
Hey Guys, just what to get everyones opinon, when i built my truck bought a set of cheap stainless headers and i mean cheap, well now i want to change them out for shorty headers, looking for comments on which are good and bad and will fit angle plug aluminum heads and also clear everything, i've seen a set of sandersons on here just wondering if there is any more out there,

Re: Tired of my long tube headers!!!!!
They where not very good quality and i had to do alot of fitment issues, bending for plugs to clear, motor mount and brake line issue

Re: Tired of my long tube headers!!!!!
Shorty headers are almost pointless. Long tubes are where you get your power, so I'd suggest investing in some.

Re: Tired of my long tube headers!!!!!
I had these headers installed when the engine was rebuilt, the only issue I had is that they hit the lower control arm on the passenger side so one pipe had to be heated and bent in slightly to make them work. When I had new exhaust run from the headers back this past Thursday the shop I used recommended 3/4 length headers. Of course this was after a couple of thousand miles on the full length headers and old exhaust.

FWIW... Shorty Headers offer NO performance advantage over cast iron manifolds.

I agree. Also shorties give you more headaches than cast iron manifolds.
