67 fenders?

I have a 69 gmc and im looking at getting a passenger side fender. I just shaved the driver side marker light and I know the 67 does not have the marker light. my question is the 67 fender the same as a 69 besides the marker light? I was wanting a 67 to save myself the time and body work of having the shave the marker light on a 69 fender. thanks

Re: 67 fenders?

I was just looking at fenders a couple days ago wondering the same thing. From what I could see only the chevy 69-72 fenders differ from the 67-68 and gmc's. Please let us know how they match up.

Re: 67 fenders?

It will work on a gmc, all of the fenders are the same. Chevy changed in 69, look at part numbers in the lmc catalog.

Re: 67 fenders?

Newbs ROCK!

Welcome to the forum!! 67 Chevy/GMC fenders are the same. 68 Chevy and 68-72 GMC fenders all match. Have fun with your Trucks!!!
dwbstyle a 67 fender will fit and you're right, you won't have to shave a marker hole.

Re: 67 fenders?

I'm not always right. yes you won't have to shave the marker hole but isn't a 69 fender different in the area where it meets the grill other that that I think it would bolt up though.

Re: 67 fenders?

On a Chevrolet, yes, on a GMC, No.

Forget about side markers for a second... 67/68 chevy fenders are the same as 67-72 GMC. Where in 69 Chevrolet had to indent the fenders so the grille would fit over it, GMC just used different moldings to cover over the 67/68 style fenders, hence, GMC never changed the fender design, just the trim that went over them.
