M & H Wiring Harnesses ?

Do any of the Venders sell M & H Wiring harnesses ? Or do you have to go direct to M & H ?

BROTHERS, thats where I got mine. But, I believe you can go straight to the vendor and buy. I feel they are the best on the market. I had my engine harness modified for a internal regulated ALT and a HEI distributer. No extra charge, but that was 10 yrs ago.

A lot of vendors sell M&H harness's.
M&H is one of only a couple harness builders that make OE spec harness's.

You can buy direct from M&H, but you will more than likely save a few bucks by going through one of the vendors for the same thing.

I've heard M&H is about the closest to the original you can get, and that's what I'm looking for. ( Plug & Play ) But I will need some mods done also ie:
Internal reg alt, HEI, Head light relays, Sanderson A/C compressor, and I'd like to go with the ATO fuses.

Can these mods be ordered through the venders, or would I have to go directly to M&H ?

I went to M&H directly, made about 4 mods@ 60 bucks a mod. Talk to Darren, hell help you out, very helpful.....if you are going to upgrade your headlights, now is the time, relays and heavier gauge wire

Yeah head light relays is what I was planing, electric rad fans also.

If you call M&H and tell them the mods you need they will make them for you. When I did my truck they added the relay plugs for electric fans and changed it to an HEI ignition. No charge! But, an M&H harness is not cheap. They use all of the correct (read factory) connectors so the extra $ are worth it as they always fit perfectly.

both are great units, cost is relative. Why spend lots on money to restore a vehicle and then use an old harness just to watch it burn down around you. Not many old harnesses that have not been butchered for trailors, brake boxes radios etc. safe is better than sorry imo.

It will be faster if you go direct to M&H. They will make the changes you need to make the harness fit what you have. They use the original factory jigs for length and all of the factory connectors. If you have added HEI to your engine they modify the harness to add the connectors compatible with your distributor. When I did my truck they added the wiring for the electric choke, 1 wire alternator, Derale oil cooler fan, AC and the HEI distributor. It took about 1/2 hour on the phone and 2 months to build it but EVERYTHING just plugged in and the truck started with every circuit working correctly on the very first try.

Hard to beat the quality but they specialize primarily in exact factory reproductions so they are pricey. But , if you are building a Bloomington Gold Corvette nothing else will get you there.

That is basically what I did, called M&H went through everything I had in the truck and any mods I need. Then Called Wes at Classic Heartbeat and went through everything with him and got his insight. I ordered it through Wes because the price was a little better, still pricey though.

Either one works. Wes has a good understanding of our trucks so you won't get a shoe salesman between you and the guy building the harness which is why I said go direct. When I did mine I wanted to be certain that I got what I needed first time out and at the time, I didn't know about Classic Heartbeat. Good luck with your truck!

I have an M&H front light harness, and engine harness in my 1972 GMC. Great fit and finish. All came with the proper factory correct connectors and clips. Wrapped with the correct tape, and also had the plastic channels for the wires to fit on the firewall, and behind the radiator. Direct plug and play fit! Money well spent if you ask me, for trouble free wiring.

Got mine from Wes as well.
