Eaton HO52 rear E-brake spring???
I'm trying to locate replacment springs for the rear brakes. The spring I'm looking for is the oval shaped small compression spring that is on the horizontal transfer bracket - located directly under the wheel cyclinder that triggers the oppisite shoe when the e-brake is engaged.
This spring is not part of the spring kit I purchased and I cannot find a source in obtaining... Thanks in advance for any/all your help! D----- |

Re: Eaton HO52 rear E-brake spring???
I got mine from Napa auto parts.
That spring is the same on other drum brake systems, so it's not hard to cross reference and get what you need.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear E-brake spring???
Thanks - I'm finding out that it is called an anti-rattle parking brake spring.
I'm going to bring what is left of it... it is in peices and see if Napa can find one for me. Have a great week. D----- |

Napa should have it. If they don't CarQuest will.

Re: Eaton HO52 rear E-brake spring???
Thanks for your help... Napa did have them - part number #80744 "Parking Brake Strut Spring".
I should know better after all these years that it depends on who you talk to... I initally called them after I discovered that the spring kit did not include these springs - I was told there was no listing for it - that I may have to fabricate something. Yesterday same Napa/different person looked them right up in seconds and pulled them off the shelf! I'm exspecting my SS brake line set & SS E-brake set to deliver soon from In-Line tubes... keeping my fingers crossed they are OK and the correct kits. Thanks agian; D----- |

Glad to see that you were able to get the part you need with little to no hassle.
