Back-up/neutral safety switch problems on a tilt column
The PO installed a tilt steering column, great! God knows what vehicle it came from and he's not telling me! The problem is that stupid back up/safety switch keeps breaking. I've owned her for 4 years and I'm on the 3rd switch! I know it's a lousy cheaply made part, but this is crazy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

If the column is out of a van I think the NS switch has to be modified. Maybe he messed something up doing the mod. Here is a thread you can use to check the installation on yours by... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=63328 LockDoc

Re: Back-up/neutral safety switch problems on a tilt column
Thanks, i think I'll have to modify the switch. I think it's about 1/32" too short. It works for a while and then wears down. I have to play Houdini too get the 2nd screw in. I'll wait until the weather gets warmer and attack that and the sound/insulation of the cab.
