Re: 1957 6 cyl manual to 350th?
My truck has that setup sittin in it now its not mounted to truck yet. The trans will bolt to the 6 cyl but I haven't figured out the mount setup yet because the truck is setup to use front mounts with the 6 cyl an mounts from the bell housing on a manual but with auto matic all I will have is front mount on engine an rear mount on trans really need to figure out how to use the mid mounts. On the engine block but haven't gotten that far yet only had it for two weeks

A TH350 will not bolt directly to a 235. You need a trans adapter that bolts to the engine that will accept the trans bolt pattern.
Here is an adapter http://stoveboltengineco.com/catalog...400&id=1396439 Then as said above you need a way to use side mounts on the engine. Some 235's have the side mount casting but if it doesn't you can use something like this to mount off the front of the engine or fab one that works. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1955-1...ount,6725.html Or something like this that does use mid engine side mounts http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Big-Bl...ount,1198.html Last edited by dwcsr; 12-22-2013 at 07:14 PM. |

Is it possible that I have a later model 6cyl I haven't ran the numbers on it but don't remember seeing an adapter of any sort. But I've only had truck for two weeks an haven't had time to do much with it
