My new ride...62 c10
Here are a few pics of my new ride, hope they post, not real experienced at it. The truck has a 350 Sbc crate motor and a turbo 400 auto tranny. We have 3' of snow on the ground and it is -17 degrees outside as I write this. It will be April before I put it on the road, lots of things I want to do to it before then.

Re: My new ride...62 c10
Thanks for all the good comments. The truck has lived its whole life between California and Tennessee, the underneath of the truck is pretty much immaculate. The interior is really nice also, I will try and get some pics and post them. Under the hood looks very clean, not a lot of bling but very clean and neat. I was told it went through an extensive restoration several years back and hasn't seen much use since then. I bought the truck with the mindset that I was going to use it on cruises and also I have a collection of vintage sleds (Ski-Doo) and want to haul them to a few local shows with this truck. I have several things I want to do to it before it leaves my garage in the spring. First is some new paint, I do all my own painting, so it's something I can do without costing a fortune. There is virtually no body work, there is a door ding on passenger rear fender and each door has 1 rust bubble about the size of your thumb nail. Besides that, very clean paint, just burnt in a few spots from the Tennessee sun. I would like to find out the exact color so I can paint it the exact same color and not have to do door jams, dash, etc...I want to get the graffiti off the rear tailgate, someone did a beautiful airbrush job but I don't really like that kind of stuff. I need to figure out something with the guage cluster, apparently doesn't work??? He did send an extra cluster also but said that one doesn't work right. I want to put a new wood kit in the bed. It needs new weather stripping around the vent windows and really, should have new seal around window. I would like to remove rear roll pan and put a new rear bumper on but I probably won't because of all the extra work and the fact that they did such a good job with the roll pan. The body work on truck is beautiful, laser straight. I will try and get some interior pics this weekend. Oh, also, if any of you folks with better knowledge of these trucks has a pretty good idea of the value of something like this, could you pm me your guess. Just curious if I paid a reasonable price for it. I really didn't research value much before I bid on it. I think I did quite well on it?

I have thought about saving the tailgate. Whoever did the airbrush work did an awesome job. It is very nicely done.
