Wtb 1967 chevy truck hood need template

Im looking for a junk 1967 hood if someone is willing to cut the front skin off so I can use as a template for drilling the holes for the C H E V R O L E T letters in the front. My hood was replaced with an NOS hood with no holes drilled. Let me know what you might have. Thanks !!

Re: Wtb 1967 chevy truck hood need template

Are you still looking for a template? I was out in the shop tonight and remembered you were looking for one so I pulled out the paper, tape, marker and camera. My hood is a 68' but it should all be the same. PM me your address if still needed & I will send it out tomorrow after I make a few duplicates

Richard

Re: Wtb 1967 chevy truck hood need template

Here are pictures of what I did last night but I can mail the paper patterns as well. Not shown in the picture ( since I forgot to take final picture) is the cross marks (center marks) for each hole and the measurements and where I measured from, written on the pattern.

Re: Wtb 1967 chevy truck hood need template

Richard, YES Thank you VERY Much.Your template turned out nice. Now if I can just get the $alls to drill the hood . I think I will mask it all off and mark accordingly then measure measure measure.

Re: Wtb 1967 chevy truck hood need template

I think I wrote it on the pattern but I measured the big holes at 5/32" and the small holes at 3/32". If you need any other measurements just let me know but I think the way I laid it out you should be good.

One thing though. I assume the back side of your hood has the access holes to be able to tighten down the speed nuts on the letters? IF not let me know & I will see if I can get a pattern of that. IT never crossed my mind until last night.
