1967 GMC SWB SS Bench Seat

Hey guys,

Took my seat apart to correctly mount it and make the seat slides work. The PO Put a new cover on the seat but the springs on the seat portion are all broken up. The back is fine but I doubt the bench can be fixed or salvaged. I want to stick with a bench seat, any ideas where to find one?

Any upholstery shop should have springs to repair our seats.

I have 7 extra seats and will post a seat parts ad if some one wants any parts , I still do some barter work and had a local guy trade me some parts for the '67 builds .

He brought me his demolished seat and a picture of a reupholstered he liked so I used the picture to reupholster his to match , He loved it ! I plan to take 2 seats and cut them down to make a set of custom "factory buckets " using the original frames and seat tracks and will post the how to later this week .That should drive some of the purest's crazy ! http://http://http://http://http://http://http://

and just a hint to anyone wanting to do repairs to their seat foam you don't have to have a $300.00 foam knife you can use a cheap $6.00 electric carving knife from Kmart or any discount store to cut and shave a block of foam to repair your seat before covering .
