Easy hood latch question
On my '75, there's a spring mounted on the frame portion of the hood latch that pushes the hood up when you unlatch it. On my '71 blazer I don't see anything that would serve this function.
Question: Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Or, preferably, provide a picture? Thanks! Brian |

These years don't use any springs. Most likely, you not missing anything. Sorry, no pics.

There is not a corresponding spring on your truck. With the hood bumpers adjusted so that the sides are contacting them and the latch pin adjusted so that the hood is closed snugly, the hood will pop up when you release it. The hood provides the spring effect.
