I need new tires for the burb and don't want to put stock size tires back on. What's the largest tire I can fit if I put a 2" body lift? I don't like the look of body lifts but i thought a 2" wouldn't be too noticable. Will I run into additional cost or mods with a 2"?

I looked into puttin a 6" suspension lift but fell over when I heard the price.

should be able to clear 33's with ease. Most bodylift kits should come with everything you need, except maybe rear bumper brackets.

Thanks...Who makes a good kit? I have a buddy that is a keystone distributor - maybe get one from him if I knew a good brand.

I Used a performance accessories on my 94. it comes with everything u need except the rear bumper brackets which i didnt want anyways because your bumper is useless if u lift it as far as pulling anything. anyways i thought they made a really good kit,except the fact that mine had the wrong bolts with it. anyways hope this helps

I just installed a 3" PA lift today on my 95 Yukon and did not receive any rear bumper brackets nor did I need them. The install was difficult only when it came to breaking the old bolts loose. I was told by the 4wheel drive store that 33" tires would be fine but 35"'s would be cutting it very close.

As far as the looks go, mine looks outstanding. I hate being able to see through a truck above the rear tires so I got creative and bought two 10" by 10' rolls of sheet metal (roofing section at local Home depot) for about $10 and used self tapping screws to secure it in the wheelwells. Also cut a long piece 5" wide to put above the rear bumper to cover that gap. Of course I painted it all with undercoating black paint. This method keeps your truck from having the body lift look. If you don't want to do this you can buy gap kits along with the lift kit.

Total cost for the entire job was about $180. I priced the 2" when I bought the 3" and it was about $25-$30 cheaper.

Hey 9, I posted some pics of my lift. Check them out. MY tires are 305x70R16 which are them same as 33" inch tires.

Please no BODY LIFT!!!
I know the Suspension lift is expensive.
I have a 99 Yukon and i wanted to lift it but bought another toy instead.
Any ways!!
You did n't mention whether or not you had the Auto trac on the burb if you dnt' its alot cheaper
Rancho makes a great 2-3" suspension lift that will clear 33's
RCD makes a great kit for clearing 33's with autotrac.
Or just get 285 and only rub when you hit a hard dip.

The bummer is I do have "auto-trac". Local shop quoted me $1700 for a 6" and $900 to install plus $600 for driveshafts due to auto-trac. $3200 + another $1220 for rims & tires really isn't an option since I have too many vehicles needing paint

I have 265's now and really don't want to put those back on. A $150.00 2" body lift is looking real good if I can put 33's on it.
