Front A Arm Swap will it work?

I have searched around but not able to get a complete answer to my question.
I have a 1967 C20 4x2 and I want to swap to disc brakes but also the newer 73-87 a arms for the better style bushings. My question is I know you can swap out the whole front cross member but I would like to just swap over the upper and lower a arms and spindles to my existing 1967 cross member. Has any done this or can it be done?

C20's & 30's are heavy duty so they used the same bushings as pre-73 C10's. Regardless, the a-arms can be swapped to your existing x-member along w/the other disc brake hardware. I'm not sure if the upper a-arm mounting stud was the same diameter before 73 though...

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

You will also need to swap the entire 73-87 steering linkage to make the swap easier.
(the tie rods have to match the spindles)
