75 k20 air and heat controls?
I have a 75 chev k20. It has factory air, the heat and air all work, sort of. The switches are very touchy and it is very tricky to switch from defrost, to heat to vent to air etc. the switch has to be just right.
Can you buy a complete assembly to replace all the switches and cables? I have searched and found nothing. Thanks |

Re: 75 k20 air and heat controls?
are you wanting a oem replacement? or what? you can get replacement parts its still going to be cable driven and all. if your wanting a full electric control of it you will have to swap the hvac box to something like vintage air. you can also rebuild your oem hvac head rather than swapping it out for another. i did it on my 83 lesabre still same type of control.

Thanks. I am wanting to keep it original, either rebuild or replace.

Re: 75 k20 air and heat controls?
you basically have the switch for the fan the cable for blend door and the other part is a vacuum selector if im not mistaken. gm had the same hvac unit up until the late 80s. oh theres a contact for the ac to kick on in there too in on the vacuum selector knob itself. its just contacts iirc.
