ridetech
Just placed order with ridetech. Level 2 kit with 5 gal airpod, The BIGRED 3/8" solenoids, xtra 5 gal tank, xtra AMK compressor and muscle bar. Any tips or comments on install. 86 c10 short bed.

Take your time and measure everything 5 times. It gets done faster that way.

Here are just a few tips, not specific to the RideTech system, but general air bag installation. #4 is very important!
1) Make sure to run your air lines away from anything that can damage them. Keep away from headers, sharp edges, etc. If you run through the frame, use a grommet. 2) Cut your air line straight and square, insert all the way into the PTC fitting, and give a small tug to make sure it is fully inserted. 3) Teflon tape works on threaded fittings, but I highly recommend the Loctite 545 sealant, which works very well. 4) When done, enjoy your new suspension and ride quality. - Travis |
