EFI Wiring harness prices

I'm looking for suggestions for an EFI harness for my son's 68. It's a stock LS1/4L60E out of a 2002 Camaro Z28 (25K miles). I have purchased Speartech in the past and they are great for custom stuff, but they are more pricey. I found a PSI harness online for around $550,

Thoughts or suggestions on this harness (or other harnesses and prices with links). Thanks in advance

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

I have a PSI harness in mine, and I also bought a reflashed pcm from them....decent quality, a few minor problems, but the price was right.

Problems with the harness or computer? I have HPTuners and will be doing the tune myself.

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

a bit of both...some things in the tune weren't turned off.....nothing major, but it does throw a code....and the harness had a wire pinned wrong for the 4l80e, that was a pain in the ass to find!

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

I used fuelinjectionconnection the price was in the same ballpark as what you listed. Quality was really nice, I have all the pics in my build. Came with its own relays/fuse box and layed out nice. Only 1 hiccup with alternator plug, which may have been my fault, they took care of @ 0 cost and overnighted the parts.

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

I used Howell Engine Development the price was in the ballpark . Quality was really nice, comes with its own relays/ fuse and CE light/ALDL. and labeled;
I wish I would have asked them for a longer TAC cable so I could have placed it elseware. I did order a 5 ft. tail for the ECM

I did have them re program ECM and I sent them the TAC and peddle and asked them to make sure everything worked. They said they hooked it up on their mule and all functioned.
I have not had it on the street but there are no CEL flashing!

Like this guy said, I just bought one and completely happy with it. Joe will build it however you want, just let him know your configuration and he'll take care of it. I have a couple pics in my thread of one.

The one in mine is from LS1 wiring and it to comes off the back of the motor with fuse block. Everything was labeled and marked.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I don't think so, address there is Florida. Address on Fb page is in Texas. I could be wrong, but that's my book by its cover detective work there.

That said, judging from the Fb page, their stuff looks pretty good.

Dang I must have been half asleep when I posted that. The correct link was under it and I posted the wrong one. Sorry.

They have a Facebook page. When I head to the shop later I'll post a pic of his business card. I've seen the various harnesses and his is bar none. A turn key harness and his customer support is great too.

I'd say go with this guy too... I'm cutting up my own, but if I give up on it I'll definitely be giving him my business... His work looks top notch like the others have mentioned.

Yeah, I think I'm going with them for my harness.

Also their harness comes off the back of the engine for a cleaner layout.

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

Rob, if you read up and search the web, PSI does not have that good of a reputation. I have not used them, but the bad publicity made me stay away. I ended up going with BP automotive, Bill was great to work with and has always returned my calls even on weekends. Greg

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

I used Bill @ BPAutomotive.
http://www.bp-automotive.com
He's a sponsor on tech and has been very helpful at more than one occasion during my build. Taking calls at off hours/weekends just to make sure I was taken care of.
I'd highly recommend him and his product. His pricing is also very competitive.
I've yet to see a bad review of his work.

Ok, after a lot of research, I'm leaning toward one from BPAutomotive. Now I'm debating whether or not to get the starter and ignition relay option. Any thoughts?

Get all the options. I did and I don't regret it.
You won't be disappointed with Bill, he's a GREAT guy.
If you know you're going to need the harness but don't have it yet pay him for it and that'll save your spot in line. I did that and I had mine back within a couple weeks.

I bought the dbw PSI harness. Trucks not running yet but I layed out the harness and it seems to fit good. Nice connectors. Jon has answered all my questions on the phone and email even after hours.

Re: EFI Wiring harness prices

I used Robert at www.fuelinjectionconnection.com too. I have used his TBI, LT1, and now LS harnesses and have had great success with all of them. (Disclaimer- my LS swap isn't finished yet, but that isn't any fault of the harness. I'm just lazy.)
