I decided to show this truck finally. Been detailing everything on it. I even put a set of reproduction bias tires on it. I also took my 68 1 ton. If anyone is going this weekend stop by and say hi.

this is what the chassis looked like when new, not much paint on anything. Too bad it was undercoated when new, takes away from the clean look. Original exhaust and spare. Original GM belt and hoses, even the original date coded plug wires. Has 2274 miles on it today

Wow what a time capsule! I think I would show it for a while then make it a driver for a year at least. Good luck!

PS whats the story on why it was collected or preserved? Not normal for a pickup in the 70's??

Rob, I took the '86 K/30 last year. I wanted to again this year, but 2 is hard enought, wasn't sure I could handle 3 lol

Those rear coils look like they've been heated, almost in coil bind. I guess that can happen just sitting too.

The term is a progressive load coil spring, no load it rides like a car load it up works like a truck.
