blazer tank install without cutting bed brace

Guys

Ive got a blazer tank kit from brothers that i want to install into my 71 Fleetside longbed. The truck is stock height.

I really dont want to cut my bed brace as i use the truck as a truck.

So, because its stock height, im thinking that i could just run some square tubing between the tank and frame and lower the tank low enough so that i dont have to cut the bed.

think it would work?

thanks!

Re: blazer tank install without cutting bed brace

i should have clarified... the 19 gallon 67-72 blazer tank kits from bothers, lmc etc

most folks end up notching the bed support. im wondering if i can just lower the tank.

after more research, supposedly guys have done it, but i cant see any decent pics of what was done

thanks!
